I've been doing this a while. I'm pretty good at it. I've worked on everything from petty trespass to mass murder. Every case and client I treat seriously and with care.

I've had family and friends go through this criminal "justice" system. Family spend time in the Douglas County jail. I know this 'case' is your life.

Senior Paralegal                                                                                                              

  • Specializes in technical, mitigation, and discovery work on serious crimes, mainly F1s & F2s.

  • Constructs trial binders, exhibits, motions, closings, and other trial focused products/work.

  • Assists informally and as advisory witness on investigation, technology, statistics, and media.

  • Conducts trainings on exhibits, technology, discovery, and prepping police reports/testimony.

    • Taught paralegals, attorneys, interns, admins, and presented at the yearly state conference.

  • Works within and with other state agencies to update/redesign sites, discovery, and case systems.

  • Nominated Paralegal of the year 2023.

Student Practice Act Certified and Uncertified Internships                                 

  • 910.75 hours of logged/credited work across two certified and two uncertified internships.

  • As a certified intern I have represented 87 clients as of Oct. ‘22 (not including coverage).

    • Trials: 7 (5-2)

    • Motions hearings, bond hearings, docket work, trial assistance, coverage, etc.

  • For uncertified: motions, mitigation pitches, legal memos, jury instructions, appeal to COA, etc.

  • Designed and programmed file organization and application systems for statewide use.

  • Student Bar Association – Elected as a Senator 1L, Treasurer 2L, and Part-Time President 3L.

  • Certified in Basic Legal Research through Westminster Law Library.

Metropolitan State University                                                       

Bachelors of Arts in Sociology with a minor in Psychology.

  • Focus on criminal law, deviance & delinquency, and addiction. Research and writing on:

    • A statistical analysis of homicide rates and death penalty statutes/moratoriums.

    • The effectiveness and outcomes of Public Defenders relative to private attorneys.
